Bioinformatics Requirements
The concentration requires 3 core courses, plus 3 electives at least one of which must
be at the 200 level. None of the electives may be counted towards the student's major.
(See Course Requirements for the details.) The electives may be chosen from a
wide variety of Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology, and Biochemistry courses in
consultation with an adviser. In particular the concentration is designed to be
rigorous by flexible.

- Three Electives
- at least one of these must be at the 200 level
- two of the electives should not be directly related to the student's major;
more precisely, two of the three must be selected from two of the categories
A, B, C, or D, as listed below. The third elective can come from any category
