On 30 Aug 1849 Jacobus married Sara de Meester, daughter of Mattheus de Meester (3 Feb 1780-16 Mar 1850) & Sara de Regt (ca 1785-19 Mar 1830), at Zaamslag, Zeeland.2 Born on 19 Dec 1821 at Terneuzen, Zeeland. Sara died at Zaamslag, Zeeland, on 21 Nov 1879.2
