Kent County Marriage Records state that Beatrice married Richard Van Neuron on 27 June 1925 in Grand Rapids. He is 32 and a Glazier Machine Operator. She is 30 and does not work. Both reside and were born in Grand Rapids. His parents are John Van Neuron and Jessie Flokersma, and hers are Herman Twiest and Nellie Hoek. G. Fander Linden, minister, marries them with Mrs. Jacob Koster and Mrs. G. Vander Linden as witnesses. Book 22, p. 101

1305. Laura Twiest. Born ca 1898 at Michigan. Laura died at Grand Rapids, Kent County, MI, on 28 Jul 1918. She died unmarried.

Kent County Death Records indicate Laura died 28 July 1918 in Grand Rapids, of tuberculosis. She was single, 19 years, nine months and 17 days old. She was born in Grand Rapids. Her parents were Herman Twiest and Nellie Hoch, both born in the Netherlands.

1306. Harry Twiest. Born ca 1901. Harry died at Grand Rapids, Kent County, MI, on 7 Feb 1990. Buried in Washington Park Memorial Gardens.

Twiest --- Mr. Harry Twiest, aged 89, a resident of the Fulton Manor of the Hooland Home, passed away Wednesday afternoon February 7, 1990. Surviving are his son and wife, Dr. Melvin W. and Mary Ann Twiest; Grandchildren, Melissa Ann, Sarah Elizabeth, Matthew Joel Twiest, all of Albuquerque, NM; his brother, Fred Twiest of Grand Rapids. Funeral and Committal Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m., at the chapel of the Seventh Reformed Church, 950 Leonard NW, with his pastor Rev. Morris G. Folkert officiating. Interment Washington Park Memorial Gardens. Mr. Twiest reposes at the Van't Hof Chapel, where relatives and friends may meet the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory to the Holland Home would be appreciated.

1311. Frederick H. Twiest. Born in 1903. Frederick H. died at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI, on 5 Aug 1990. Buried in Washington Park Memorial Gardens.

TWIEST- Frederick H. Twiest, aged 87, of Grand Rapids, died Sunday, August 5, 1990 at Butterworth Hospital and passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl, and by one grandson, Ronnie in 1975. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Mabel Twiest: their children, Bruce and Pat Twiest of Sparta, David and Carolyn Twiest of Clearbrook, British Columbia, Brian and Retta Twiest of Grand Rapids, Terry and Laurie Grear of Denver, CO, Serge and Vickie Bagdasarianz of Zurich, Switzerland; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
        Mr. Twiest worked as Chief Engineer for Wolverine Brass until his retirement in 1969. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church for 36 years and active with The Gideons. He was a member of the Michigan Association of Professional Engineers and the Grand Rapids Chapter of Engineers.
        Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday at the Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave. NE, with his pastor, the Rev. Dale E. Fisher officiating. Interment in Washington Park Memorial Gardens.

Ca 1934 Frederick H. married Mabel [Twiest]. Born in 1903. Mabel died in 1990. Buried in Washington Park Memorial Gardens.
