1096. Thomas Damon. Born on 31 Jan 1658[/9] in Reading, MA.14 Thomas died in South Reading (Wakefield), MA, on 20 Oct 1723; he was 64.164 Buried in Wakefield, MA GR1. Occupation: yeoman, blacksmith.

Joseph Damon, yeoman, was appointed Administrator of the estate of his father, Thomas Damon, of Reading, 6 Dec 1723, with Kendal Parker as surety. Heirs named in the documents of 1724 were Joseph (the eldest), Ebenezer (second son), both of full age and married, Thoms (third son) in 21st year, Edward aged 17, John 15, Lucy wife of Kendal Bouttell, Elizabeth wife of Benjamin Gery, Susan wife of Nathaniel Townsend, Nathaniel Coudrey husband of Mehitabel, Mary of full age, and Abigail 12. “Luce Anne Dammon” widow, with Joseph Dammon, blacksmith, as her surety, was appointed guardian to daughter Abigail in her 13th year on 14 Feb 1723/4. On the same date Thomas Poole, husbandman, with Juseph Burnap, housewright, as his surety, was appointed guardian to the son John, in his 16th year.139

On 15 May 1683 when Thomas was 24, he married Lucian Emerson (4260) , daughter of Rev. Joseph Emerson (1186) (ca 1620-3 Jan 1679/80) & Elizabeth Bulkeley (10547) (ca 1638-4 Sep 1693), in Reading, MA.14 Born on 2 Oct 1667 in Milton, MA.139 Lucian died in South Reading (Wakefield), MA, on 17 Jan 1739/40; she was 72.164 Buried in Wakefield, MA GR1.

Lucian, or Lucy Ann, or just Luce. After her death, an accounting was made 25 Feb 1739/40 naming her eleven children; by this time the two youngest daughters being named Mary Holden (John Holden signed) and Abigail Tompson. On 25 Aug 1740 Ebenezer Damon of REading, blacksmith, Thomas Damon of Natick, Gentleman, John Damon of Sudbury, blacksmith, Benjamin Geary of Lynn, husbandman, Nathaniel Townsend of Wilmington, husbandman, John Holdin of Woburn, husbandman, and Kendol Boutel of Redding, gave a bond ov £100 to Joseph Damon of Reading, Administrator of the estate of Thomas Damon late of Reading, blacksmith, deceased.139
