John was a surveyer of highways 1651, one of a committy to run the S. line of Weth. 1659. He removed to Hadley with his father 1659, and was killed in the Falls (Turners) Fight in King Philip’s War.167

ca 1647/8 John married Frances Foote (4035) , daughter of Nathaniel Foote (1221) (21 Sep 1592-1644) & Elizabeth Deming (1108) (Oct 1595-between 16 Aug 1682 adn 3 Sep 1683).53 Born ca 1629.12 Frances died ca 1681 in Hadley or Hatfield, MA.

Joseph, freeman of CT 1657, resided in Northampton form 1664 to 1674, and then removed to Northfield. He was a deacon in the Hadley Church, seems to have gone to Wethersfield about 1661. He was killed in battle with Capt. Beers.168 167

Thomas, freeman of CT 1657, and of MA 1661, a first settler of Hadley. Having sold out at the latter place in 1679, he removed to Wethersfield.168

Obediah accompanied his father to Hadley in 1659. He took part in King Philip’s War. His house was burned by the Indians, and he, wounded and with a child, was captured by the Indians in 1677. He escaped from captivity in Canada the next year and returned to Wethersfield in 1679.168 167
