On 10 Apr 1673 when Sarah was 16, she married Dea. Thomas Bancroft, son of Lieut. Thomas Bancroft (ca 1625-19 Aug 1691) & Elizabeth Metcalf (ca 1626-11 May 1711), in Reading, MA.14 Born on 14 Sep 1649 in Dedham, MA.272 At the age of 2, Thomas was baptized on 28 Oct 1651.272 Thomas died in Reading, MA, on 12 Jul 1718; he was 68.14

Thomas “was an officer in King Philip’s Indian War, and a selectman several years. He lived in the westerly part of Reading, where was the ancient Bancroft homestead. He built the fourth house in West Parish near the Abr’m Temple place.”15

Thomas’s will was dated 15 Jan 1713, and proved 8 Jul 1718.

6937. Lieut. John Poole. Born on 20 Sep 1665 in Reading, MA.14 John died in Lynn, MA, on 21 Nov 1721; he was 56.

John lived at the north end of the Great Pond. His grandfather John Poole bequeathed him one half of his estate in that vicinity, including the late residence [1874] and farm of Dea. Caleb Wakefield, the ‘Newcomb Mill,’ and the ‘Benja. Cox Farm in Lynnfield.’15

On 17 Nov 1686 when John was 21, he married Mary Goodwin, daughter of Nathaniel Goodwin (ca 1644-23 Aug 1693) & Mary Lunt (13 Jul 1648-8 May 1675), in Reading, MA.14 Born on 5 Mar 1671 in Reading, MA. Mary died in Andover, MA, on 13 Jul 1752; she was 81.

Jonathan succeded his father on the place occupied by the Rattan Works in 1887. He was selectman and justice of the peace.15

On 3 Dec 1692 when Jonathan was 25, he married Bridget Fitch, daughter of Dea. Benjamin Fitch (21 Dec 1630-12 Mar 1713) & Elizabeth Skerry (-17 Aug 1697), in Reading, MA.14 Born on 1 Nov 1669 in Reading, MA. Bridget died in Reading, MA, on 2 May 1723; she was 53.14

On 18 Jun 1695 when Thomas was 22, he married Rebecca Boutwell (15839) , daughter of Sergt. James Boutwell (ca 1642-5 Dec 1716) & Rebecca Kendall (5826) (10 Feb 1645-30 Aug 1713), in Reading, MA.14 Born on 25 Dec 1674 in Reading, MA. Rebecca died in Reading, MA, on 23 Aug 1737; she was 62.
