On 21 Jun 1659 Abigail married Capt. John French, son of Capt. William French (ca 1603-20 Nov 1681) & Elizabeth Godfrey (ca 1605-31 Mar 1668), in Barnstable, MA.396 Born ca 1635 in England. John died in Oct 1712 in Billerica, MA.
John first married Abigail Coggin, second Hannah Burrage, third Mary Rogers, and fourth Mary (Littlefield) Kittridge, widow of John Kittridge.
John came in the Defence with his parents at the age of 5 months. After his second marriage he removed to Dunstable, MA.27

John chose as guardians, in Plymouth, 3 May 1659, Capt. James Cudworth of Scituate, and Isaac Robinson of Barnstable (Plymouth colony Records 3:161), giving them their discharge on 8 Apr 1664 (ibid., 4:77).37
On 22 Dec 1664 John married Mary Long (8069) , daughter of Michael Long (3012) (ca 1615-12 Jan 1689) & Joanna [Long] (ca 1618-19 Jan 1691), in Charlestown, MA.92 John Coggen & Marie Long, married by Mr. Richard Russell, Magist. Born say 1645 in Charlestown, MA. Mary died on 7 May 1681 in Charlestown, MA.34
